Problem Statement
India is facing a growing challenge of water scarcity caused by inefficient usage, wastage, and lack of awareness at the household and community levels. Although government initiatives such as Jal Jeevan Mission and Swachh Bharat Mission promote sustainable water management, there is still a gap in intelligent monitoring systems, transparent data tracking, and behavior-driven conservation practices.
Existing water management solutions primarily focus on infrastructure and billing, while neglecting predictive analysis, child-centric education, community participation, and trust-based incentive mechanisms. Children are rarely engaged through interactive learning or games to develop early water conservation habits, and centralized data systems lack transparency and accountability, reducing user motivation and long-term impact.
The problem is to design a scalable AI and Blockchain-based smart water monitoring platform that analyzes water consumption using real datasets, predicts abnormal usage and wastage through AI, and securely records usage data using blockchain technology. The system should also include a Kids Learning Zone with water-awareness games, leaderboards and reward systems, and a community and partnership model involving schools, NGOs, and institutions—aligned with experiential digital learning goals of National Education Policy 2020—to promote responsible water usage and sustainable behavior across society.
