By registering for or attending any HackIndia event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access our website or participate in our events.

To participate in HackIndia events, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age or have parental consent
• Be currently enrolled in an educational institution or be a recent graduate
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Agree to abide by our Code of Conduct

Registration

Registration for events is subject to availability. We reserve the right to accept or reject any registration at our sole discretion. Accepted participants will receive confirmation via email.

Attendance

Participants are expected to attend all scheduled sessions and activities. Failure to attend without prior notice may result in disqualification and impact future participation eligibility.

Team Formation

Teams must consist of 2-4 members unless otherwise specified. All team members must be registered participants. Teams may be formed before or during the event.

Project Ownership

All projects created during HackIndia events remain the intellectual property of the participants who created them. By participating, you grant HackIndia a non-exclusive license to showcase your project for promotional purposes.

Third-Party Resources

Participants must ensure they have the right to use any third-party code, APIs, libraries, or assets in their projects. Violation of third-party intellectual property rights may result in disqualification.

HackIndia Content

All content on the HackIndia website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of HackIndia and protected by copyright laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

Participants must:

• Follow all event rules and guidelines
• Respect fellow participants, organizers, sponsors, and mentors
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment
• Not engage in any form of harassment or discrimination
• Not use prohibited substances or engage in illegal activities
• Comply with venue rules and regulations

Violation of these rules may result in immediate removal from the event without refund and potential ban from future HackIndia events.

Prize distribution is subject to:

• Completion of all required project submissions and presentations
• Compliance with all event rules and guidelines
• Verification of participant eligibility
• Provision of necessary tax and identification documents

HackIndia reserves the right to withhold prizes if any violations are discovered or if winners cannot be contacted within a reasonable timeframe.

HackIndia is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation of our website or events
• Accuracy or completeness of information provided
• Security of data transmission over the internet
• Specific outcomes or results from participation

Participants attend events at their own risk. HackIndia is not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages arising from participation in our events.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.
