Road accidents are one of the leading causes of injury and death worldwide. A significant percentage of these accidents occur due to sudden braking and insufficient distance between vehicles. Drivers often fail to react quickly enough to prevent collisions, especially in heavy traffic conditions. Traditional vehicles rely only on visual indicators such as brake lights, which may not always provide sufficient warning to drivers behind them. In addition, drivers may not always be aware of emergency vehicles approaching from behind due to noise or traffic conditions. Another issue is the lack of communication between vehicles. Most vehicles operate independently without sharing important safety information with nearby vehicles. As a result, drivers rely entirely on their own perception and reaction time. Therefore, there is a need for an intelligent system that can: • Automatically detect braking events • Monitor distance between vehicles • Notify drivers about emergency vehicles This project aims to address these problems by developing a vehicle-to-vehicle communication system that provides real-time alerts to drivers.
