Problem Statement

FIRE SUPPRESSION DEVICES FOR EV BATTERY SAFETY Electric vehicles (EVs) use lithium-ion batteries, which are highly sensitive to temperature and operating conditions. Under abnormal situations such as overcharging, short circuits, or physical damage, these batteries can overheat and lead to thermal runaway, causing fire or explosion. Existing Battery Management Systems (BMS) mainly focus on monitoring voltage and current but do not provide an active fire suppression mechanism. As a result, fire incidents are often detected late, and manual intervention becomes difficult, unsafe, and time-consuming. Therefore, there is a need to develop a smart, automatic system that can: 1.Detect early signs of fire hazards (like high temperature or smoke) 2.Respond immediately without human intervention 3.Prevent fire spread and reduce damage
