In many educational institutions and organizations, attendance is still recorded manually using paper registers or basic digital systems. This traditional method is time-consuming, prone to human errors, and can lead to issues such as proxy attendance (students marking attendance for others). There is a need for an automated, accurate, and efficient system that can record attendance without human intervention. The system should ensure authenticity, reduce time consumption, and maintain reliable records. Therefore, this project aims to develop an AI-based smart attendance system using face recognition technology that can automatically identify individuals and mark their attendance in real-time, improving accuracy, security, and overall efficiency.
