Problem Statement

Public safety and rapid response during emergencies remain significant challenges in densely populated urban environments. SurakshaSetu AI is proposed as an intelligent AI-driven platform designed to bridge the gap between citizens, emergency responders, and administrative authorities through real-time data processing and automated decision support. The system leverages artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and agent-based coordination to detect, analyze, and prioritize safety-related incidents reported through multiple channels. By integrating machine learning models with a structured multi-agent architecture, SurakshaSetu AI can classify emergency requests, assess severity levels, and route them to the appropriate response units with minimal delay. The platform also provides continuous status tracking, automated notifications, and a centralized dashboard for authorities to monitor ongoing situations. This enables faster coordination among different stakeholders while reducing manual intervention and response time. Additionally, the system incorporates safeguards such as validation checks, access control mechanisms, and responsible AI practices to ensure reliability and prevent misuse. The proposed solution aims to improve urban safety management by enabling intelligent automation, efficient communication, and proactive incident handling. SurakshaSetu AI demonstrates how AI-powered systems can enhance public safety infrastructure and support smarter, more responsive city management.
