Problem Title: Limited Access of Tribal Communities to Government Welfare Schemes Due to Language and Digital Barriers
Problem Statement:
India's approximately 104 million tribal (Adivasi) citizens face significant challenges in accessing government welfare schemes despite being eligible for them. The issue is not a lack of eligibility but the fact that the complete scheme lifecycle—awareness, eligibility understanding, application processes, tracking, and grievance handling—operates primarily in Hindi, English, or other mainstream languages that many tribal communities do not understand. This creates a severe language and digital divide.
A tribal citizen typically faces multiple obstacles:
Lack of awareness that a scheme exists.
Difficulty understanding eligibility criteria due to complex language.
Inability to navigate government portals.
Problems filling forms in unfamiliar languages/scripts.
Lack of tribal language support in helplines.
Inability to understand application updates and notifications.
Difficulty appealing rejected applications.
Current solutions mostly provide translation or basic information, but they do not provide end-to-end autonomous assistance such as identifying suitable schemes, guiding users, completing applications, tracking status, and handling grievances.
The challenge is to create an intelligent, accessible, multilingual solution that bridges this gap and enables underserved tribal populations to effectively access government welfare benefits.
