IEEE HackSynapse 2026 is organized by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IAS) Student Branch Chapter, IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) Student Branch Chapter, and IEEE Student Branch, MITS-DU Gwalior, in collaboration with HackIndia.
The hackathon follows a hybrid format consisting of an Online Idea Submission Round followed by a 36-Hour Offline Grand Finale at Madhav Institute of Technology & Science (Deemed to be University), Gwalior.
The hackathon is open to undergraduate students from recognized colleges and universities.
Participants can compete under three tracks:

Only shortlisted teams qualifying for the Offline Grand Finale will be required to pay:

- Undergraduate students enrolled in any recognized college or university can participate.
- Students from all engineering branches and related disciplines are eligible.
- Students from Computer Applications, IT, AI, Data Science, Electronics, Design, Business, and other relevant disciplines may participate.

- Team members may belong to different colleges and/or different academic years.
- International students studying in recognized institutions are also eligible.
