Need help with Real-time Data Sync using Socket.io and SQL for an Emergency Response App.
Hi everyone! I am building Guardian-Link, a project for a hackathon that integrates real-time emergency alerts with resource allocation.
Tech Stack: React.js, Node.js, Socket.io, and MySQL.
The Issue: I want to ensure that when an emergency is triggered via Socket.io, the incident is simultaneously logged into my SQL database without slowing down the real-time alert sent to other users.
Specific Question: What is the best practice to handle database writes (SQL) and real-time broadcasts (WebSockets) together to ensure high performance?
Any advice or documentation links would be great! Thanks.
