HackIndia Spark 9 - Chennai Is Done. The Results Are In.

HackIndia Spark 9, powered by IdeaBoxAI, officially concluded on July 5, 2026 at St. Joseph Engineering College, Chennai. 280 student developers walked in on July 4. 28 hours later, they walked out with working enterprise AI products, verifiable certificates, and a completely different understanding of what student builders are capable of.

This was not a typical campus hackathon. This was the most technically ambitious edition of the HackIndia Spark series to date.

The Challenge
Five tracks. Four technical, one wildcard.
Track 01 — Enterprise Persona Intelligence (IdeaBoxAI Platform)
Build an AI-powered co-pilot for any enterprise role using the IdeaBoxAI Persona Intelligence platform. Define what it sees, what it knows, and what it can act on.
Track 02 — Generative AI for Predictive Analysis
A conversational AI that writes ML code on demand and runs predictive models against any uploaded dataset, entirely on the fly.
Track 03 — Intelligent Model Routing for Cost Optimization
Build a smart routing layer that sends each AI pipeline node to the right LLM, cutting cost without compromising quality.
Track 04 — Stateful AI Agents with Dynamic UI
An AI agent that renders live, interactive interfaces mid-conversation. The user talks. The app updates in real time.
Track 05 — Show Us You Can Sell Persona-Driven AI
Understand IdeaBoxAI, research the competitive landscape, and create content that positions Persona-Driven AI in its category. Top performers get fast-tracked for interviews at IdeaBoxAI's marketing and community team.

The Winners
After 28 hours of continuous building, a panel of expert judges evaluated every submission on Technical Depth and Architecture (30 pts), Demo Quality and Working Product (25 pts), Problem-Solution Fit (25 pts), and Innovation and Creativity (20 pts).

Powered by IdeaBoxAI

None of this would have looked the same without IdeaBoxAI showing up as a real partner, not just a sponsor.
Harish Govindaraju, Founder and Co-CEO, and Vithushan Sylvester, Co-Founder, personally ran a live onboarding session on Google Meet before the event, answering participant questions about the Persona Intelligence platform before a single line of code was written. Their team was embedded in the challenge track design, the judging criteria, and the mentorship throughout the sprint.
That level of founder-to-student engagement is rare. And it showed in the quality of what got built.
